Quick gameplay overview:
Cards are distributed equally among four players who then alternate bidding the number of tricks their partnership can take beyond six in any suit or "No Trump." This auction-style bidding continues until three players pass consecutively.
The player to the declarer's left makes the opening lead. Subsequent players must follow suit when possible, or may play any card otherwise. After each trick, the winning player leads the next. The declaring team aims to fulfill their contract while defenders attempt to prevent this.
Following the opening lead, the dummy's hand is exposed. The declarer plays both their own cards and the dummy's. Successful contracts earn points, while failed ones result in penalties. A rubber concludes when one team wins two games (each game requiring 100 contract points).
