Urshifu, Gigantamax Machamp Debut in Pokémon Go's Might and Mastery Season Finale

May 07,2025 Author: Eric

The Might and Mastery season is set to conclude spectacularly with the Final Strike: Go Battle Week, running from May 21st to 27th. This event promises an explosive end, featuring the debut of Urshifu and Gigantamax Machamp. It's your final opportunity to make significant progress, with a lineup of new encounters, evolutions, and bonuses to reward your dedication.

During Go Battle Week, you can evolve your Kubfu into Urshifu. To do so, you'll need 200 Kubfu Candy and must strategically defeat 30 Dark-type or 30 Water-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles with Kubfu as your buddy. Whether you choose the Single Strike or Rapid Strike form of Urshifu, the choice is yours, enhancing your battle strategy.

The event includes free Special Research that furthers the Might and Mastery narrative, offering additional Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with Pokémon like Charcadet, complete with a Special Background. You'll also have the opportunity to evolve fan-favorite fighters like Mankey, Seel, and Froakie into versions with exclusive attacks, enhancing your team's capabilities.

For those looking for premium experiences, the $1.99 Timed Research offers two Premium Battle Passes, Lucky Eggs, and themed Pokémon encounters. Meanwhile, the $7.99 Fuzzy Fighter Special Research allows you to reconnect with Dynamax Kubfu, featuring extra items and season-themed encounters. Both options are available until the event's conclusion, along with the Fuzzy Fighter Ultra Ticket Box at the Pokémon Go Web Store.

The season's climax arrives on Sunday, May 25th, with the Gigantamax Max Battle Day, featuring the six-star debut of Gigantamax Machamp. From 2:00 to 5:00 pm, every Power Spot will host Gigantamax Battles, offering boosted Max Particle rewards and an increased collection cap. Don't forget to use Pokémon Go codes for additional freebies to enhance your experience!

The $4.99 event ticket for Max Battle Day includes exclusive Timed Research that grants 25,000 XP, one Max Mushroom, and significant boosts for Max Battles. Leading up to the event, additional Timed Research will guide you to a Dynamax Beldum, an excellent counter for Machamp.

Prepare to end this season with a bang by downloading Pokémon Go for free and diving into the action-packed Final Strike: Go Battle Week.
