Alternatively, post a bounty for the dragon's scales. Then, all you need to do is wait as an army of heroes, wizards, and oddities hunts the monster to extinction.

Solving the dragon issue is always a priority, as every member of this scaled, winged race suffers from the same affliction: a severe allergy to humans and their settlements. Their sole remedy is the total annihilation of humankind.
