The New Year's 2025 event in Pokémon Go is set to run from December 30th, 2024, at 10:00 am to January 1st, 2025, at 8:00 pm. While there won't be any new Pokémon, Shinies, or costumes this year, which might be a bit disappointing, there's still plenty of fun to be had.

You'll encounter wild spawns such as Jigglypuff adorned with a ribbon, Hoothoot in a New Year's outfit, and Wurmple sporting a party hat—all of which have the chance to be Shiny. Event bonuses include earning 2,025 XP for Excellent Throws and the spectacle of festive fireworks lighting up the skies, adding a touch of magic to your adventures.

Tier One raids will feature Pikachu donning a snowflake beanie, while Tier Three raids will include Raticate and Wobbuffet, both dressed in party hats, with increased chances of encountering their Shiny forms.
