Mastering Buzz Lightyear in Brawl Stars: A Comprehensive Guide

Brawl Stars' newest addition, the limited-time brawler Buzz Lightyear (available until February 4th), offers a unique gameplay experience with his three distinct combat modes. This guide will help you unlock and maximize his potential before he's gone.

How to Play Buzz Lightyear

Buzz Lightyear is a free unlock from the in-game shop, arriving at Power Level 11 with his Gadget already unlocked. He lacks Star Powers and Gears, but his single Gadget, Turbo Boosters, allows for quick dashes, ideal for engaging or escaping. His Hypercharge, Bravado, temporarily boosts his stats. Both Gadget and Hypercharge function across all three modes.

Here's a breakdown of Buzz's modes:

Mode Image Stats Attack Super
Laser Mode Health: 6000, Movement Speed: Normal, Range: Long, Reload Speed: Fast 2160 damage, burn effect over time 5 x 1000 damage, long range
Saber Mode Health: 8400, Movement Speed: Very Fast, Range: Short, Reload Speed: Normal 2400 damage, Tank Trait 1920 damage, long range
Wing Mode Health: 7200, Movement Speed: Very Fast, Range: Normal, Reload Speed: Normal 2 x 2000 damage N/A

Laser Mode excels at long-range combat with its sustained damage. Saber Mode thrives in close quarters, its Tank Trait aiding Super charge. Wing Mode provides a balanced approach.

Optimal Game Modes for Buzz Lightyear

Buzz's versatility shines across various modes. Saber Mode is perfect for close-quarters maps (Showdown, Gem Grab, Brawl Ball), while Laser Mode dominates open maps (Knockout, Bounty). His sustained damage allows aggressive plays even at low health. Note that Buzz is unavailable in Ranked Mode.

Buzz Lightyear Mastery Rewards

Buzz's Mastery cap is 16,000 points. Here's the reward breakdown:
