Call of Duty Update: New Feature to Track Challenges in Development

Black Ops 6: Challenge Tracking and Separate HUD Settings on the Way

Treyarch has confirmed development of two highly anticipated features for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: in-game challenge tracking and separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies.

The challenge tracking feature, a popular element in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, was notably absent from Black Ops 6 at launch, disappointing many players. Treyarch has acknowledged this feedback and stated the feature is "currently in the works." This will allow players to monitor their progress towards completing challenges, such as Mastery camos, in real-time within the game's UI, eliminating the need to wait until match completion for updates. While a release date isn't set, the upcoming Season 2 update later this month suggests a potential timeframe.

In addition to challenge tracking, Treyarch also confirmed that separate HUD customization options for Multiplayer and Zombies are "also in the works." This addresses player frustration over needing to constantly adjust HUD settings when switching between game modes.

Recent Black Ops 6 Updates:

A January 9th update included various bug fixes for the UI and audio, along with XP boosts for the Red Light, Green Light mode. Significantly, Treyarch also reversed a controversial Zombies change from January 3rd, restoring the original round timing and zombie spawn mechanics in Directed Mode following community feedback.

These upcoming features, coupled with the recent bug fixes, indicate Treyarch's commitment to improving the Black Ops 6 experience based on player feedback.
