Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests that encourage players to compete for the fastest clear times. In anticipation, Capcom has made it clear that it will not tolerate cheating or any fraudulent activities that could compromise the integrity of the game. In a recent post on X/Twitter from the official Monster Hunter account, Capcom issued a stern warning to players: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests."
The company also emphasized that participating in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could lead to invalid quest completion times, resulting in the revocation of rewards for all party members. Capcom advised players to be cautious and avoid multiplayer sessions with those engaging in prohibited activities or those suspected of such behavior. They encouraged players to report any instances of cheating they encounter during quests.
These new time-based competition quests, part of Title Update 1, will offer cosmetic pendants as rewards. Some pendants will be available to all participants, while others will be awarded based on completion time or the hunter's ranking. This makes Capcom's crackdown on cheating and fraudulent activities crucial, as it directly affects the fairness of reward distribution and completion times.
The quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter located in the Grand Hub in Suja. Players must first complete a special tutorial mission to unlock access to the Grand Hub. Make sure to head there as soon as Title Update 1 becomes available tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more details, check out the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 patch notes.
