Fortnite Reloads Epic Battles with Classic Weapons and Maps

Fortnite's new "Reload" mode throws players back to the game's roots with a modern twist! This fast-paced mode packs 40 players onto a smaller map featuring classic locations like Tilted Towers and Retail Row. Nostalgia meets high-stakes action.

What's in Fortnite Reload Mode?

Reload mode offers intense squad-based combat. A full squad wipe is an immediate game over – no second chances. This applies to both Battle Royale and Zero Build modes.

The action is concentrated on a compact island, bringing back beloved weapons like the Revolver, Tactical Shotgun, Lever Action Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, and Grappler. Vehicles are absent, focusing the gameplay on intense firefights and strategic loot acquisition.

Victory Crowns are still up for grabs. Rebooted players return with a common Assault Rifle (and building materials in Build mode). The Reboot Timer adds a dynamic element, starting at 30 seconds and increasing to 40 seconds as the match progresses. Eliminating enemies reduces the timer. Players can choose to immediately begin their reboot.

Elimination and Strategy

Eliminated players drop Small Shield Potions, ammo, and building materials (in Build mode), keeping the action intense and resource-driven. This strategic element adds another layer of depth to the gameplay.

Reload mode also includes intro quests offering substantial XP rewards. Complete three quests for the Digital Dogfight Contrail, six for the Pool Cubes Wrap, and nine for the NaNa Bath Back Bling. A Victory Royale earns you The Rezzbrella Glider.
