If you're a *Genshin Impact* enthusiast playing on Android, get ready for some exciting news: controller support is finally on its way! Yes, after a long wait, the feature will be rolling out with Version 5.5. This is a significant update, especially since iOS players have enjoyed this feature since 2021.
When Will Genshin Impact Get Controller Support on Android?
Mark your calendars for March 26th, 2025, as that's when you'll be able to connect your Android device to a controller and dive into the world of *Genshin Impact* without relying on the touchscreen. The update will officially support four controllers: DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. Keep in mind, all these controllers require Bluetooth connectivity.
In addition to controller support, Version 5.5 will introduce several quality-of-life improvements. One of the highlights is the cross-scene quest tracking feature, allowing you to seamlessly track quests across different areas. Just open the map and teleport directly to your desired destination.
The update also includes enhancements to boss guides, which will be particularly beneficial for newer players to better understand enemy mechanics. Furthermore, the Artifact system, Serenitea Pot, and Mail system are all set to receive optimizations. Full details on these changes will be unveiled during the Special Program Announcement on March 14th.
