Ghost of Yōtei's New Trailer Arrives

PlayStation and Sucker Punch Productions have officially announced the launch date for Ghost of Yōtei, the sequel to Ghost of Tsushima. A new story trailer titled "The Onryō’s List" debuted on April 23, offering glimpses of the game's narrative and combat. The video concluded by confirming the release date: October 2, 2025.

Ghost of Yōtei follows Atsu's quest for vengeance in the heart of Ezo (modern-day Hokkaido) against the Yōtei Six, a ruthless band of outlaws who murdered her family and left her to die. Her mission is to eliminate each member of the rogue group: The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon, and Lord Saito.

This standalone sequel unfolds 300 years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima. The developers recently unveiled key features, including an expanded arsenal, fresh gameplay mechanics, and more, building on the original game’s acclaimed foundation.

Hunt the Yōtei Six Your Way

Players can pursue the Yōtei Six in any order they choose, creating their own path of vengeance. In an April 23 post on the PlayStation Blog, Sucker Punch detailed new gameplay elements and Atsu’s journey through the wilds of Ezo.

The open-world exploration has been refined, offering greater freedom and variety over the first game. Beyond hunting the six outlaws, players can track other dangerous targets for bounties or seek out weapon masters to acquire new skills.

Fans will recognize returning elements like the Guiding Wind, alongside new features such as the ability to set up campfires anywhere in the wilderness. Emphasizing player choice across the expansive world of Ezo remains a central focus for the development team, who plan to share more updates in the coming months.

Pre-Orders, Digital Deluxe, and Collector’s Edition

Pre-orders for Ghost of Yōtei begin on May 2 at 10:00 AM ET. The standard edition will be priced at $69.99 and is available through retail and the PlayStation Store. Every pre-order, regardless of edition, includes the following bonuses:
