Get ready to step into the wild—*Way of the Hunter: Wild America* is making its way to mobile, bringing all the immersive, open-world hunting action you know and love. If you've already experienced the game on PC or consoles, you're familiar with its rich gameplay and realistic hunting mechanics. Now, thanks to developer Nine Rocks Games and publisher THQ Nordic in collaboration with HandyGames, this authentic hunting simulator is being adapted for mobile platforms without losing its core essence.
Excited to try it early? HandyGames recently opened applications for their closed beta test (CBT), giving select players a first look at the mobile adaptation. Interested participants can fill out an application form via a link shared on their official X (Twitter) account. Be sure to check it out if you want to get in on the ground floor.
Set across sprawling open-world environments inspired by both American and European landscapes, the game offers over 55 square miles of terrain to explore. Whether you're stalking deer through dense forests or setting up ambushes near watering holes, the world reacts dynamically to your actions. Disturb one area too much, and wildlife will relocate—adding another layer of realism to your hunts.
The game also features a detailed arsenal of authentic weapons, including rifles, bows, and more. Each weapon has unique handling and ballistics, encouraging players to master different styles of hunting. Beyond the thrill of the chase, Way of the Hunter includes a robust in-game economy where you can sell meat, purchase upgraded gear, and even decorate your lodge with taxidermy trophies.
With a full campaign mode, co-op play, and full controller support on mobile, the game is shaping up to be a standout title for fans of the genre. And while the mobile port is still in development, the foundation looks promising.
