Monster Hunter Now Tests New Monster Outbreaks Feature

Monster Hunter Now is buzzing with excitement as Niantic introduces a new feature called Monster Outbreaks. This innovative addition is currently in the testing phase, allowing players to provide feedback and help refine the feature before its official rollout. If you're eager to join in on the action, here's everything you need to know about the Monster Outbreaks testing in Monster Hunter Now.

When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?

The testing phase for Monster Outbreaks is scheduled to take place from April 26th to 27th. The event will run for a couple of hours each day, specifically from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., local time, on both Saturday and Sunday. During these times, you'll encounter a surge of 8-star Black Diablos at designated outbreak points on the map. The challenge? Team up with other players to take down 100 of these formidable creatures at each outbreak spot within the one-hour window. Note that this target is per location, not a global total.

To participate, you must be at least HR 11 or higher. Importantly, the party feature won't be available; only in-person group hunts will count towards the goal. Outbreak points will be clearly marked on the map with a special icon. Simply tap on an outbreak point to view its details and sign up on the roster to let others know when you'll be joining the hunt.

Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!

The mechanics of the Monster Outbreaks are intriguing. When you and three other hunters take down a single monster, it counts as four towards the collective goal of 100. If your group manages to reach the target before the hour is up, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the time. These outbreaks will only spawn Black Diablos, making for a focused and intense hunting experience.

Successfully reaching the 100-monster goal comes with its rewards. Your group will be awarded 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Additionally, using the sign-up roster at the outbreak point offers a chance to earn a special Outbreak Test I Medal.

Are you ready to dive into the Monster Outbreaks testing? Download Monster Hunter Now from the Google Play Store and join the excitement over the weekend.
