NantGames has introduced an exciting new feature to their popular geolocation RPG, MythWalker. Dubbed "Tethering," this innovative addition allows players to embark on cooperative adventures within the game. For the first time in this genre, MythWalker now supports multiplayer exploration, enabling up to three players to join forces regardless of their physical locations.
What Does Tethering Add to MythWalker?
Tethering introduces a collaborative element to the game, allowing players to tackle story missions, engage in battles, and collect resources as a team. This real-time, synchronous gameplay experience transforms the way players interact with the game world, particularly the London-based map, offering endless possibilities for cooperative play.
In addition to the new co-op system, MythWalker welcomes a fresh adversary—the Wyldevae. These fairy-like creatures possess both beauty and menace, embodying grace while delivering powerful attacks. Three distinct types of Wyldevae inhabit Mytherra: the Bergavae, resembling moths, found in the mountains; the Strandavae, fish-inspired beings, residing near islands; and the Fennavae, dragonfly-like creatures lurking in swamps.
Each Wyldevae variant drops unique items and abilities, encouraging players to seek out and battle all three. Accompanying these new foes are specialized quests that delve deeper into their origins and motivations, providing rich lore and narrative depth.
Are You Part of the Journey?
For newcomers, MythWalker is a geolocation-based RPG available on Android. Players can traverse the real world to advance in the game or utilize Navigators powered by Portal Energy from the comfort of home. Set in the magical realm of Mytherra, parallel to Earth, players are enlisted by The Child, a mysterious figure, to uncover threats against this world and explore its connections to Earth.
