Solo Split Fiction Gameplay: Is It Possible?
Mar 14,2025Author: Lillian
Hazelight Studios, known for its fantastic couch co-op games, has released its latest title, Split Fiction. A key question on many players' minds: can you play Split Fiction solo?
Can You Play Split Fiction By Yourself?
Unfortunately, no. Like previous Hazelight games, Split Fiction heavily emphasizes cooperative gameplay, either online or via local couch co-op. There's no single-player mode or AI companion to assist. The game's intricate mechanics and precise timing require two players for a smooth experience. Even with multiple controllers, solo play is practically impossible.

Don't worry if you lack a partner! Hazelight's ingenious Friend's Pass allows for cross-platform co-op. Here's how it works:
Own Split Fiction on any platform (PlayStation, Xbox, or PC).
Have your friend download the free Friend's Pass on their platform of choice.
Send them an invite to your session.
Enjoy the game together!
The Friend's Pass supports cross-platform play across PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Steam, Epic Games Store, and the EA app. It's a fantastic way to introduce friends to the game before they commit to a purchase.
That's all you need to know about solo play in Split Fiction. Remember, Split Fiction launches March 6th on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
