In *Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl*, the variety of weapons available caters to every player's unique playstyle. Among these, you'll find not just standard firearms but also unique (named) variants, which boast special modifications or enhanced power. One such standout is the Cavalier, a specialized sniper rifle equipped with a red-dot sight in lieu of the traditional magnification scope, making it exceptionally effective at short to medium ranges. Let’s dive into how you can secure this remarkable weapon.
How to Get the Unique Cavalier Rifle in Stalker 2
To obtain the Cavalier Sniper Rifle, head to the Military Unit within the Duga base in *Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl*. This coveted weapon is located inside a warehouse connected to a greenhouse. If you've previously ventured to the Duga base to access the Journalist stash, navigating to this area will be familiar, and you can enter through the second entrance.
Getting Inside the Warehouse Near the Military Unit of Duga Base
Upon entering the Duga base, make your way to the Military Unit building as indicated on your map. Instead of entering the building itself, navigate around it to reach the greenhouse at the back. Exercise caution as two Pseudogiants patrol this area and will attack upon sighting you. Approach the greenhouse carefully to steer clear of these dangerous mutants.
Once inside the greenhouse, you'll find yourself in the warehouse. Be prepared for multiple swarms of rats to spawn upon your entry, which will start to nibble at your health. To escape the rats, climb onto the elevated green platforms at the back of the warehouse. A well-placed grenade can effectively clear out the rat swarm.
Break the Wooden Boards & Grab the Cavalier Rifle
With the rats dealt with, direct your attention to the ceiling above the entryway connecting to the greenhouse. You'll notice wooden boards painted yellow. Use your weapon to shoot these boards, causing the Cavalier sniper rifle to drop from above.
After securing the weapon, safely exit the Duga base. To enhance the Cavalier’s performance, take it to Screw, the technician at Rostok base. The rifle already boasts maximum damage and impressive accuracy, which can be further optimized with upgrades and modifications. For players who prefer the agility of a red-dot sight over traditional scopes, the Cavalier is an ideal choice, perfect for engaging in close to medium-range combat.
