Wang Yue, an upcoming fantasy ARPG, is gearing up for its technical testing phase after securing its publication license in China. This initial test run will allow developers to identify and fix bugs, gather player feedback, and refine the gameplay experience before a wider release.
The technical test will introduce players to a world ravaged by a cataclysmic solar event. The planet is fractured, leaving two distinct continents suspended amidst a bizarre gravitational anomaly. Tian Yue City, a breathtaking inverted metropolis, floats in the sky above a desolate, ruined landscape. Players take on the role of Qing Wu, a mysterious character thrust into this chaotic reality after a betrayal. Qing Wu must unravel the mysteries surrounding the now-revered sun, the upside-down city, and the shadowy figures intent on their demise.
Wang Yue deviates from traditional open-world conventions, emphasizing exploration and player choice over repetitive quests. Players are free to explore the skies above Tian Yue City or delve into the secrets hidden within the ruins below. The game world reacts dynamically to player actions, with NPCs responding realistically to player behavior – from calling the authorities for disruptive conduct to expressing gratitude for assistance.
The developers are actively seeking player feedback and will be hosting discussions, design contests, and other community events to encourage player participation in shaping the game's development. Registration for the technical test is now open on the official website.
