Forgotten Memories, the eerie survival horror is back with a remastered version, and it’s finally on Android. After a bit of to and fro on with Google Play, Forgotten Memories: Remastered Edition is now available for Android users, joining its last month’s debut on iOS.
Here’s the Story
In Forgotten Memories, you step into the shoes of Rose Hawkins, a police detective on the trail of a baffling case. But it’s not long before things get really weird. Rose wakes up in some creepy unknown place.
And that’s where she meets Noah, a mysterious woman who’s as enigmatic as the case Rose is investigating. They strike a deal that might help solve the mystery. But obviously there’s more to this alliance that you’ll get to know once you dive into it.
What’s New in Forgotten Memories: Remastered Edition?
The game gives classic ’90s horror like Silent Hill but with remastered features. Firstly, they’ve cranked up the fear mechanics. The graphics is now high-res with HDR lighting and dynamic shadows. While the audio has been fully remastered, with new voices and music.
The gameplay has undergone changes, too, with improved combat, interactions and even a new save system with checkpoints. There’s also a new Insane mode and extra achievements to chase. There are no in-game purchases either.
Why don’t you check out the trailer of Forgotten Memories: Remastered Edition and see for yourself what’s new?
What Took It So Long to Be on Android?
When Psychose Interactive first submitted the remastered version to Google Play, it got rejected. Apparently, the improved graphics made the mannequins in the game look too realistic, which Google flagged as a content guideline issue.
So, the devs made some changes, like altering the mannequins’ poses and adding clothing. After some back-and-forth, they managed to work things out, and now it’s finally here. They’re already teasing a massive December update with a spooky Christmas theme. A brand-new game mode is also on the way, apparently.
So, go ahead and check Forgotten Memories: Remastered Edition on the Google Play Store.
