Salute + was developed by the e-Health Research Unit of the Bruno Kessler Foundation in Trento, as part of the TrentinoSalute+ project. This initiative was planned and coordinated by the Autonomous Province of Trento in collaboration with TrentinoSalute4.0, the competence center for digital health innovation.

The project supports the first major objective of the Trentino Health Plan 2015-2025: "More years of life in good health." Trentino aims to establish itself as a "health-friendly" region, engaging the entire community—citizens and businesses alike—through innovative experiments to promote healthy lifestyles.
