Application Description Enhance your evangelism and basic Bible teaching with our comprehensive audio-visual lessons, designed specifically for Sunday School. These resources are based on the meticulously crafted Sunday School Lessons published by the AIC Sunday School Committee in Juba, Southern Sudan, and have been adapted for general use with the kind permission of the Africa Inland Church, Sudan. Our lessons are perfectly complemented by the audio-visual picture books provided by Global Recordings Network, making them an invaluable tool for educators.
These lessons were developed in response to a pressing need from young educators seeking guidance in teaching Sunday School. The inclusion of vivid pictures serves as an essential visual aid, significantly enhancing the learning experience for students. Our app features an impressive collection of:
This app focuses solely on the lesson segment of the Sunday School, with each session designed to last approximately twenty minutes. The remainder of the Sunday School time, including singing, prayer, Bible reading, quizzes, and other activities, is left to the discretion of the teachers. We strongly encourage concluding each lesson with a brief prayer and a song that reinforces the week's teachings. Our lessons cater to children aged 7 to 12, ensuring a broad yet age-appropriate educational experience.
Initially, these lessons were handwritten by teachers in exercise books on a weekly basis, hence they are intentionally concise. While some lessons have been expanded, the core idea remains to provide a succinct yet thorough outline that teachers can personalize during their preparation. Each story begins with a clear aim to guide the lesson's direction. Recognizing that it's impractical to cover the entirety of God's truth in a single lesson, we advise teachers to focus on one or two key truths per lesson, allowing children to gradually deepen their understanding of God.
The lessons are not intended to be read verbatim to the class. Instead, they serve as a supportive framework—a "walking stick" rather than "crutches"—for the teacher.
