Rules of the Game Svara (Svarka)

Svara (Svarka) is an engaging card game played with a deck of 32 cards, ranging from 7 to Ace. It accommodates a minimum of two players and offers a total of 4960 possible combinations.

Rules

Each player receives three cards dealt in a clockwise direction. The winner is determined by the player with the highest point total. Points are calculated according to the following rules:

1. Cards from 7 to 9 award points equal to their face value: 7 to 9 points respectively.
2. Cards 10, J, Q, and K each award 10 points.
3. Aces award 11 points.
4. Cards of the same suit are summed for their total points. For example, Q♦, K♦, and 10♠ total 20 points, while 10♠, 8♠, and K♥ total 18 points.
5. Aces can be combined regardless of suit: two Aces are worth 22 points, and three Aces are worth 33 points.
6. The 7♣, known as "Ceco Jonchev, Chechak, Chotora, Shpoka, or Yoncho," can be combined with any other card to yield 11 points.
7. Three 7s together give 34 points, making it the strongest combination in the game.
8. Three of a kind combinations are valued at three times the lead card's value. For instance, three 8s give 24 points (3x8), and three Queens give 30 points (3x10).

Examples

• 7♥, 9♦, 9♣ give a total of 9 points (the lowest hand).
• 10♠, 10♦, 10♣ give a total of 30 points.
• 8♣, K♥, 9♦ give a total of 10 points.
• K♥, 9♥, Q♣ give a total of 19 points.
• Q♣, Q♥, 9♦ give a total of 10 points.
• A♠, A♦, 10♣ give a total of 22 points.
• 8♠, A♦, 7♣ give a total of 22 points.
• 10♦, 9♦, J♦ give a total of 29 points.
• Q♣, Q♥, Q♦ give a total of 30 points.
• 7♣, K♥, K♦ give a total of 31 points.
• 7♣, A♥, A♦ give a total of 33 points.
• Two 7s, regardless of suit, give a total of 23 points.

Betting

1. Before dealing the cards, each player places an initial bet known as the "ante."
2. The player to the left of the dealer announces their bet. They can place a "blind bet" before seeing their cards.
3. If a player places a blind bet, the next player to their left has the option to double it.
4. If a player opts out of the blind bet, the next player cannot initiate a new blind bet. (Blind bets are optional.)
5. After the cards are dealt, players make their bets.
6. If there's a blind bet, the next player must at least double it.
7. A player who placed a blind bet can see other players' cards by matching the bet.
8. If a blind bet remains unmatched, the player who placed the last blind bet wins.
9. The game is won by the player with the highest points.
10. If there are no blind bets and no other bets, the dealer wins.
11. If two or more players have the same number of points, it results in a "SVARA."
12. SVARA initiates a new game that includes all bets from the previous game.
13. Any player can join a SVARA by paying the SVARA join fee.
