"Infinity Nikki Fans Threaten to Quit Over Update 1.5 Changes"

Infinity Nikki and its highly anticipated 1.5 update have finally hit Steam, but the launch has been overshadowed by a flurry of drama. Infold Games’ stylish dress-up adventure, after months of exclusivity on the Epic Game Store, made its debut on Valve's platform. Yet, instead of celebration, fans encountered a slew of technical issues, unexpected design changes, and demanding outfit requirements. Infold has since issued an apology and promised compensation, but the battle for Infinity Nikki continues.

Upon the Steam release, Infinity Nikki PC players were eager to dive in but were met with a range of technical problems, from crashes to general instability, preventing the game from launching. While technical issues at launch are not uncommon, as the player base grew, dissatisfaction extended beyond performance.

The introduction of two new five-star outfits, Snowbound Ballad and Undying Ember, each requiring 11 pieces and potentially up to 220 pulls to complete, came as a shock to the community. These sets are larger than what players are accustomed to and were introduced without prior notice. There's concern that future outfit requirements may escalate even further.

Adding to the confusion, Infold extended the Crown of Miraland: Peak Arena event from two to three weeks, leaving the community bewildered. Amidst ongoing technical issues and the implementation of more demanding monetization practices, the Chinese player base of Infinity Nikki took to social media platform RedNote to voice their concerns. This quickly escalated into a widespread movement, with players globally calling for a boycott of Infinity Nikki on Steam, urging others to leave negative reviews and uninstall the game across all platforms.

"Holding back your pulls for a couple of days can help show we want IN to remain fun and fair for all players," Reddit user kiaxxl emphasized in a call-to-action post. "For gacha games, tracking how successful a new batch of content is usually measured on the first few days. Holding back your pulls for a couple of days can help show we want IN to remain fun and fair for all players."

The backlash has had an impact, with Infinity Nikki currently holding a "Mixed" rating on Steam, as players post negative reviews advising newcomers to steer clear until their demands are met and issues resolved.

The Infinity Nikki boycott gained such momentum that Infold issued an apology letter across its official channels, addressing many of the prominent technical issues and promising better communication about future adjustments.

Apology Letter Regarding Version 1.5 Gaming Experience

Dear Stylists,
Hope this message finds you well.
First and foremost, we would like to extend our sincerest apologies. We are truly sorry that we were unable to provide you with a stable experience upon the release of the new… pic.twitter.com/YEjpGQpKho

Infold's message included commitments to revert Mira Crown to end on May 16 and start the next season the same day, along with compensation for players in the form of 10 Revelation Crystals, 10 Resonance Crystals, and 1200 Diamonds. While a step forward, it falls short of the comprehensive changes many players hoped for.

While some view Infold's concessions as a victory, others remain wary, particularly about the decision to maintain the 11-piece requirement for new outfits. Despite promises of improved communication, it seems some five-star outfits will continue to require 11 parts.

I wish you would finally chance the drop rate.. it cant be that i need 200 pulls to get a 5star and then you drop like 5 banners within weeks?! Make the rate lower or give us more diamonds to be able to get crystals.. this is not fun!

Despite the partial success, the Infinity Nikki community is determined to keep the pressure on. "Think about it: CN players are pointing out that if we accept the 11-piece outfits and pity as it is, most new 5 stars will **be** 11 pieces," Reddit user EdensAsmr said. "Imagine if every new major update has two 11-piece 5-star banners? That means you have to save even more to be able to handle it, and 70-80 pulls per patch will **not** cut it."
