"Cheetah and Cheshire Rob Justice League: Wonder Woman Year One Creators Reunite"

May 17,2025 Author: Jacob

Renowned writer Greg Rucka and acclaimed artist Nicola Scott, who previously delivered the definitive modern take on Wonder Woman's origin in "Wonder Woman: Year One," are joining forces once again for an exciting new venture in the DC Universe. Their latest project, titled "Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League," promises a thrilling and unique narrative.

In "Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League," Rucka and Scott are joined by colorist Annette Kwok and letterer Troy Peteri. This six-issue series, part of the DC All In initiative, reunites two iconic villains in a story that nods to the creators' past work with DC. Rucka's previous Wonder Woman runs prominently featured Cheetah, while Scott's work on the Secret Six with writer Gail Simone included Cheshire as a central character.

DC's official synopsis teases a gripping tale where Cheetah and Cheshire meticulously plan and execute a daring heist at the most secure facility in the DC Universe. To pull off this audacious theft, they must assemble a top-tier crew capable of outsmarting the Justice League and navigating the facility's sophisticated AI-driven security system. The stakes are high, and the path is fraught with challenges, including the formidable presence of the DCU's smartest and most powerful heroes.

Rucka himself emphasized the high stakes, stating, "This is a crew of villains, or at least nominal bad guys. Not one of them has access to—let alone would be welcomed aboard—the Justice League Watchtower. We’re not making this easy on them. But for Cheetah especially, this is an all-or-nothing play—she needs to do this job, and she’s not going to let anything, or anyone, keep her from getting what she’s after."

Play"Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League #1" is set to hit the shelves on August 6, 2025, promising fans an exhilarating new chapter in the DC Universe.

In other comic book news, Marvel's new Thunderbolts series is undergoing a rebranding to become "The New Avengers," aligning with developments in the MCU.
