Gamescom 2024: New Game Announcements and Exciting Updates Confirmed for Opening Night Live

Gamescom 2024's Opening Night Live (ONL) promises a thrilling showcase of new and anticipated games. Geoff Keighley, the host and producer, recently confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that the event will feature brand-new game reveals alongside updates on previously announced titles.
While Gamescom has already hinted at appearances from games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Monster Hunter: Wilds, Civilization VII, MARVEL Rivals, Dune: Awakening, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, the ONL will unveil previously unannounced games. The livestream begins August 20 at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET on official streaming platforms.
Key highlights include the first gameplay reveal of Don’t Nod’s Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, a new trailer for Warhorse Studios' Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and a fresh game announcement from THQ Nordic and Tarsier Studios (creators of Little Nightmares).
Call of Duty fans can expect a major treat: the first-ever live campaign playthrough of Black Ops 6! Although Nintendo will be absent from Gamescom 2024, The Pokémon Company will be a featured presence.
