A fun geometric puzzle crafted for both kids and adults

WHAT IS STENCILETTO?

Stenciletto offers a series of progressive brain exercises using basic geometric shapes. Its goal is to build and enhance visual and spatial perception abilities. Anyone can enjoy it—the only requirements are recognizing simple shapes and understanding how a stencil works.

Solving each puzzle calls on a broad set of thinking skills, including visual and spatial perception, logical reasoning, planning, and problem-solving—all at once. It looks simpler than it is, offering a real mental challenge. Your task is to tap geometric stencils in the right sequence to reproduce the target pattern—but it’s much tougher than it seems and will definitely make you think!

The game was developed over ten years by an experienced teacher, with input from children, teens, adults, and individuals with learning challenges or brain injuries. Every group found it engaging and motivating.

In this newest version, we’ve introduced Education Mode. That makes the game classroom-friendly. One purchase unlocks all the content, with settings for internet access, Game Center, sharing, and content control. Education Mode also supports Family Sharing—great for homeschoolers too.

HISTORY OF THE GAME

Originally called the Stencil Design IQ Test, the game was created by early 20th-century psychologist Grace Arthur Ph.D. She understood that non-verbal intelligence is central to cognitive ability. She found it effective for children as young as seven, as well as professors. When testing Native American and deaf children who hadn’t attended traditional schools, they scored poorly on verbal IQ tests. But with this activity, she showed they scored just as high as educated Americans.

WHAT'S IN THE GAME?

There are two game types. Classic Games use Grace Arthur’s original stencils—squares, circles, triangles, crosses, etc.—that most will recognize. Our World Games are extended challenges for those with strong perception and logic skills who want something harder.

Stenciletto includes over 600 graded puzzles. Each level offers a free set to try (60 free puzzles in total).

Each purchased game includes 15 puzzles. Completing a Classic Game earns you an animated Smiley. These are inspired by famous historical and mythological characters, representing diverse cultures. They’re also a fun way to track your progress and achievements.

Choose from several ways to play:

• Mortal Mode is the default—buy lives or wait for them to refresh. Includes timing and scoring, with Mortal leaderboards.

• Immortal Mode gives you unlimited lives—just top up when needed. Timed and scored with Immortal leaderboards.

• Mindful Mode has no timer or scoring, so you can relax and solve puzzles at your own pace.

• Education Mode unlocks both Immortal and Mindful Modes (Mortal Mode can be turned off).
