Lors d’une table ronde au South by Southwest (SXSW) à Austin, au Texas, le 9 mars 2025, Kojima Productions et Sony ont annoncé la date de sortie de Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. Le réalisateur Hideo Kojima a ouvert l’événement avec un trailer de 10 minutes offrant un aperçu de nouveaux éléments narratifs et de mécaniques de jeu. Les images renforcent l’accent du jeu sur les liens humains dans un univers fracturé et post-apocalyptique.
