Le prochain film en prise de vue réelle Street Fighter de Legendary Pictures aurait engagé Callina Liang pour incarner Chun-Li, l'emblématique personnage de jeu de combat.
Selon Deadline, Liang a officiellement signé pour le rôle principal, signalant une progression constante vers la sortie planifiée du film le 20 mars 2026.
Liang a lancé sa carrière d'actrice dans la série de 2022 Tell Me Everything avant d'apparaître dans Foundation (2023). Ses récents projets incluent Presence de Steven Soderbergh et Bad Genius de J.C. Lee, tous deux sortis en 2024.
L'adaptation de Street Fighter présentera Liang à un public plus large alors qu'elle incarne Chun-Li aux côtés des membres du casting annoncés précédemment, notamment Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, Jason Momoa, Roman Reigns et Orville Peck.
