Housemarqueは、2025年2月のプレイプレゼンテーションでサロスを発表しました。 2026年のいつかPlayStation 5とPlayStation 5 Proで発売されたこの新しいタイトルは、評価されている3人目のアクションゲームであるReturnalのスリリングなゲームプレイに基づいています。物語は、俳優のRahul Kohliによって描かれたArjun Devrajを中心にしています。
Housemarqueのクリエイティブディレクター、Gregoy Loudenによると、サロスはReturnalが独立していることを許可し、 Returnalの物語とメカニズムを反復する別のIPを確立することを考えていました。 Returnalは動的なバイオームで絶えず変化するRoguelikeエクスペリエンスを提供しましたが、Sarosは永続的で進化するロードアウト（武器とスーツ）を紹介し、プレイヤーに「強く戻ってきて」課題を克服します。
