Application Description
Japanese Mahjong is an engaging game that follows the traditional Japanese style of play. To participate, you'll use the slider located at the bottom of the screen to select your tiles. Once you've made your selection, tap the slider to discard the chosen tile.
The objective of Mahjong is to complete your hand, which consists of four Melds and one Pair. An example of a winning hand might look like this: [1, 2, 3], [6, 6, 6], [6, 7, 8], [N, N, N], [4, 4]. However, be aware that certain combinations involving Chi, Pon, and Open Kan may not be valid.
In Japanese Mahjong, it's crucial to have at least one valid hand. You can enhance your hand by declaring "Reach" at a cost of 1,000 points, but this option is not available if you've already used Chi, Pon, or Open Kan. Maintaining a closed hand can lead to higher scores.
Understanding the concept of a "Lost Hand" is also important. A Lost Hand occurs when you are Waiting but cannot win with another player's discard because you've already discarded a winning tile. Even with a Lost Hand, you can still win by self-drawing a tile. The key is to never allow your opponents to win with a tile you've discarded. Strategically, you should aim to deduce your winning hand from the tiles your opponents discard.
