Celebrate 25 Years of The Sims with Legacy Collections!
EA and Maxis are throwing a fantastic party for The Sims' 25th anniversary! The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 are back on PC via the newly released Legacy Collections and The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle.
Available separately or bundled together for $40, these collections offer a comprehensive package. The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection include nearly all expansions and stuff packs. While The Sims 2 collection is missing the IKEA Home Stuff pack, it still boasts impressive content. Both collections even include bonus content: The Sims 1 gets the Throwback Fit Kit, and The Sims 2 receives the Grunge Revival Kit.
This marks a momentous return for these classic titles. The Sims 1, originally only available on disc, has been unavailable for years. The Sims 2, while previously offered as an Ultimate Collection, was later removed from EA's Origin store. These new collections ensure all four main Sims games are readily accessible digitally.
Both games received glowing reviews upon their initial release (The Sims 1: 9.5/10; The Sims 2: 8.5/10). Despite the series' evolution, the originals remain captivating due to their charm, simplicity, challenging gameplay, and historical significance.
The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection are available now on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the EA app.
