Cassette Beasts releases on iOS, Android release pulled pending approval for new patch

Feb 19,2025 Author: Scarlett

Cassette Beasts, the retro creature-collecting RPG, is now available on iOS, but its Android launch has been unexpectedly delayed.

Developer Bytten Studio reports that the Android release has been temporarily pulled due to unforeseen issues requiring a last-minute Google Play patch. The team is working to resolve these issues and reinstate the game on the Android storefront as quickly as possible.

This setback is disappointing, especially given the game's highly anticipated launch and its blend of classic monster-catching, combat, and open-world exploration. While the iOS version is playable, Android users will have to wait for the patch approval process to conclude.

A Setback for the Beasts

Unexpected launch delays are unfortunately common. The current situation highlights the potential challenges of last-minute patching and the sometimes slow approval process on Google Play.

The recent prominence of alternative app stores raises the question of whether a broader initial release across multiple platforms might have mitigated this delay. However, it's likely the game will return to the Google Play Store within a few days.
