CrazyGames is set to launch its Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 this week, marking an exciting 10-day event for indie developers around the globe. Running from April 25th to May 5th, this game development marathon is in partnership with Photon, the leading multiplayer service provider. This collaboration aims to spur the creation of innovative web-based multiplayer games, offering participants a chance to win a share of €10,000 in cash prizes and valuable premium Photon licenses.
The prizes include:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (€7,500 value)
- 500 CCU for a year (€1,500 value)
- 100 CCU for a year (€100 value)
Participants are required to develop and submit their games within the jam period, ensuring they meet the PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these guidelines, developers have the freedom to let their creativity soar. CrazyGames, known since its inception in 2014 as a top destination for free online gaming, leverages technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGL to offer seamless browser-based gaming experiences. As a partner in this event, CrazyGames will also provide winners with the opportunity to publish their games on its platform.

In the lead-up to the jam, a pre-event livestream will be hosted on April 24th at 4 pm CEST on YouTube and LinkedIn. This session will delve into two new WebGL platforms, Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, emphasized the significance of these platforms, stating, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to developers of all skill levels. For more details and to sign up, visit the official jam page.
