Delta Force Mobile Pre-Orders Launch Globally

Delta Force, previously known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, is now accepting pre-registrations for iOS and Android devices. Launching late January 2025, this Tencent title marks a significant entry into the modern military shooter market, blending various missions and modes with a tactical gameplay focus.

The Delta Force franchise, a cornerstone of FPS gaming predating Call of Duty, is known for its realistic shooter mechanics, advanced gadgets, and authentic weaponry. Tencent's Level Infinite has revitalized the series with impressive features. Expect large-scale Battlefield-style combat in Warfare mode, and extraction-focused gameplay in Operations mode. A single-player campaign inspired by the Battle of Mogadishu (and the film Black Hawk Down) is also planned for 2025.

Addressing the Cheating Issue

Despite high anticipation, Delta Force has faced controversy regarding its anti-cheat measures. Tencent's approach, while aggressive, has drawn criticism. Although their G.T.I. Security team is dedicated to combating cheating, restrictions imposed on PC software and hardware haven't been universally welcomed.

While mobile platforms typically see less cheating, this initial controversy might impact Delta Force's mobile reception. However, the reduced likelihood of cheating on mobile could still allow the game to meet expectations.
