Following the exciting reveal of their new project, Project C4, ZA/UM has now announced an official mobile version of the critically acclaimed game, Disco Elysium. This new version, exclusive to Android devices, aims to introduce the game to a fresh audience while offering current fans a convenient, on-the-go experience. To entice players, ZA/UM will make the first two chapters of Disco Elysium available for free on mobile. Players can then opt to purchase the full game, which will be ad-free, allowing them to make an informed decision about their investment.

ZA/UM emphasized their dual role as both creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium IP, underscoring their commitment to delivering a high-quality mobile experience. Studio head Denis Havel expressed enthusiasm about reaching a new demographic, particularly the TikTok audience, through "quick hits of compelling story, art, and audio" designed to create a deeply engaging form of entertainment.

According to the official blurb, this mobile edition represents a total re-imagination of Disco Elysium, tailored specifically for mobile users. The game has been optimized for short play sessions, enabling players to dive into its rich narrative anytime, anywhere on their mobile devices. Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as "what audiobooks wish they were," designed to be enjoyed in short bursts.

Disco Elysium on mobile is set to launch on Google Android in the summer of 2025. It's important to note that while the studio retains the same name, many key individuals from the original Disco Elysium team have departed ZA/UM since the game's release. Some of these former members are now working on spiritual successors to the game.
