Mother Nature: EcoDash is an innovative endless runner game now available on Android, brought to you by BOM (Birmingham Open Media), a UK-based immersive arts organization. The name itself suggests the game's focus: tackling pollution head-on. What makes EcoDash particularly unique is its collaborative creation process, involving a group of girls aged 11-18 from the youth project Powered by CAN. Their contributions helped shape the game's art style and mechanics through BOM’s Immersive Studio.
What’s Special About Mother Nature: EcoDash?
In Mother Nature: EcoDash, you step into the shoes of Mother Nature, portrayed as a Black female scientist with a mission to clean up the city and save its wildlife. Your character is pursued by Smog, a villain intent on worsening environmental conditions. Your task is to outrun pollution, gather air purifiers, and keep the smog meter from rising too high to avoid being engulfed by a toxic cloud.
Beyond the typical running and jumping, the game integrates rescue missions where you encounter endangered animals throughout the city. Your goal is to reach the rainforest to safely release these animals back into their natural environment.
BOM's objective with EcoDash was to educate players about climate change and air pollution in an engaging and enjoyable manner. The game is packed with power-ups, shields, and various bonus items to assist you in your mission.
Mother Nature: EcoDash combines simple gameplay with a powerful message about environmental stewardship. If this sounds appealing, you can find it on the Google Play Store.
