King’s Raid Returns After Masangsoft Acquisition

May 20,2025 Author: Emily

If the end of King’s Raid left you feeling downhearted, there's fantastic news on the horizon: the beloved mobile RPG is set to make a triumphant return. Masangsoft has acquired the IP and is gearing up for a full-scale revival after the game's closure on April 15th.

Launched back in 2017, King’s Raid distinguished itself by eschewing the common gacha mechanics in favor of a more player-friendly hero collection system. Its real-time 3D battles, expansive storyline, and top-notch character design captured a devoted following around the globe, especially in Japan and Southeast Asia. Despite these strengths, operational challenges ultimately led to its shutdown earlier this month.

However, hope springs eternal as Masangsoft swooped in to rescue the game. The company finalized the acquisition on March 17th and has already begun work on a global relaunch. While details are still under wraps, Masangsoft promises to unveil a full relaunch schedule soon, so keep an eye out for updates.

Set in the enchanting world of Orbis, King’s Raid follows the journey of Kasel, a young knight-in-training on a quest to find his missing brother. Joined by his childhood friend Frey, magician Cleo, and bodyguard Roi, Kasel navigates a rich tapestry of alliances, betrayals, and epic confrontations.

The narrative reaches a dramatic peak in the first season's climactic showdown, while the second season delves into the Vespian Empire, further enriching the game's lore. For those craving similar adventures, don't miss our list of the best RPGs to play on Android!

In terms of gameplay, you'll assemble teams from an extensive roster of heroes categorized into seven classes, each with unique roles and abilities. King’s Raid promises a comprehensive RPG experience, complete with real-time PvP, colossal raid battles, and deep customization through hero awakening and gear progression.

While Masangsoft hasn't disclosed specific changes or enhancements for the relaunch, fans can look forward to a refreshed version of what made the original so special. To stay in the loop with the relaunch schedule and community events, be sure to join the King’s Raid Discord channel.
