Project Tower: Defeating Kupolovrax Guide

May 04,2025 Author: Andrew

Kupolovrax, a formidable boss in Project Tower, presents a challenging encounter for players due to its projectile-based attacks. While it may lead to multiple attempts and defeats, understanding and applying specific strategies can significantly ease the process of defeating this boss. This guide offers detailed tactics to help players overcome Kupolovrax effectively.

It's worth noting that while Kupolovrax's design suggests targeting its illuminated segments, hitting its carapace also inflicts damage, providing players with more options during the fight.

1. Project Tower: Kupolovrax Boss Guide

Phase 1

Kupolovrax Phase 1

The battle with Kupolovrax initiates with the boss positioned on the platform. Players should keep a safe distance, continuously fire at the enemy, and employ the following strategies to dodge its attacks:

  • Orb Ring Fall: Kupolovrax summons descending rings of orbs from the platform's edge to its center. To evade this, players should monitor the falling rings and execute a dodge roll just before impact.
  • Orb Scattershot Fall: Similar to the orb ring fall, but with a scattershot pattern. This is easier to avoid; players should look up and strafe around the falling orbs, using a dodge roll when necessary to avoid direct hits.
  • Orb Line Push: This attack sends multiple lines of orbs directly at the player. It's best avoided by waiting for the first line to near, then dodge rolling forward and immediately dashing forward. Alternatively, strafing into the gaps between the lines is also effective.
  • Stomp: Kupolovrax occasionally stomps, creating a shockwave. Players can jump over this shockwave and keep firing, much like in bullet hell games.

Phase 2

Kupolovrax Phase 2

At around 66% health, Kupolovrax takes to the skies. Players should maintain distance and keep shooting while using these strategies to evade its attacks:

  • Orb Scattershot Fall: Kupolovrax launches numerous orbs into the air that slowly descend. These can be easily dodged by watching the sky and strafing through the gaps.
  • Orb Ring Push: The boss pushes forward several rings of orbs that converge on the player. Hold your position until the last moment, then dodge roll to the left or right to avoid them.
  • Orb Line Push: Similar to Phase 1, but players can also try dodging to the side and immediately dashing in the opposite direction to evade the first line of orbs.

Phase 3

Kupolovrax Phase 3

When Kupolovrax reaches about 33% health, it enters the final phase, which closely resembles Phase 2 but includes a modified attack:

  • Modified Orb Ring Push: This attack consists of three parts: closing rings, quick ring pushes, and falling orb rings. To survive this, hold your position until the last second, dodge roll left to evade the closing rings, immediately dash right to avoid the quick ring pushes, and walk forward to dodge the falling orbs.

Project Tower is available on PC and PS5, offering players an immersive experience with challenging encounters like the battle against Kupolovrax.
