Embark on a thrilling adventure through Eora's perilous Living Lands with the aid of four unique companions in Avowed. Each companion boasts a distinct personality and a customizable skillset. Let's explore each recruitable companion:

Kai: Encountered early in Dawnshore, near Paradis, Kai is a formidable ex-mercenary with a surprisingly tender side. A tank-like combatant, he excels at both absorbing and inflicting significant damage. His fire abilities prove invaluable for clearing obstacles and uncovering hidden treasures.

Kai's Upgradable Abilities:

• Fire and Ire (Active): A powerful blunderbuss shot, stunning and taunting a single enemy.
• Unbending Defense (Active): Regenerates health and boosts damage reduction.
• Leap of Daring (Active): A powerful leap that stuns and taunts nearby enemies.
• Second Win (Passive): Revives with 50% health upon reaching zero.

Marius: Found in Dawnshore, Marius shares a history with Kai. A skilled hunter and tracker, his expertise extends to both gameplay and narrative. His "Hunter Sense" ability aids in locating loot and crafting materials, while his combat prowess utilizes bow and arrow, daggers, and nature-based traps.

Marius' Upgradable Abilities:

• Binding Roots (Active): Roots an enemy in place.
• Heart Seeker (Active): A piercing shot that ignores obstacles.
• Shadow Step (Active): Vanishes and reappears to attack an enemy (up to 3 times).
• Wounding Shots (Passive): Attacks inflict bleeding.

Giatta: Recruited later in the Emerald Stair region at Fior, Giatta is an animancer whose magic plays a crucial role in the main quest. Her support abilities focus on healing, shielding, and buffing allies, while her "Spectral Jolt" ability activates Essence Generators to reveal hidden paths.

Giatta's Upgradable Abilities:

• Purification (Active): Heals all allies.

Yatzli: The final companion, found in Thirdborn within the Shatterscarp region (though encounterable earlier), Yatzli is a damage-dealing mage. Her spells excel at both single-target and area-of-effect damage, and she can also remove environmental obstacles.

Yatzli's Upgradable Abilities:

• Essence Explosion (Active): Explosive arcane damage.
