Silent Hill f is confirmed playable on Steam Deck, though it requires some setup adjustments. Dive into Valve’s Steam Deck compatibility details for Silent Hill f and explore the game’s PC system requirements below.
Valve’s official testing confirms Silent Hill f runs on Steam Deck but isn’t fully “verified.” Achieving verified status requires seamless integration with the device’s controls and display, passing Valve’s checks for input, visuals, performance, and system compatibility. Silent Hill f falls short, needing specific tweaks for optimal performance.
The game supports default controller settings and displays Steam Deck controller icons. However, some in-game text may appear small, making it hard to read, and manual configuration is necessary for smooth gameplay on the handheld.
This marks progress compared to Silent Hill 2 Remake, which lacked Steam Deck support despite updates. With no official release date announced by Konami, developers have time to refine Silent Hill f’s performance.
Konami recently shared Silent Hill f’s PC requirements on its Steam store page, offering insight into its performance on Steam Deck. Below is a detailed breakdown of the minimum and recommended specs.
For minimum settings, an NVIDIA GTX 1070 delivers 720p at 30fps on Performance Quality. Given Steam Deck’s GPU, expect slightly reduced performance compared to these specs. Playing at 720p on Steam Deck should be manageable, but connecting to an HD TV may highlight visual limitations. Konami recommends an SSD for better performance.
Recommended specs support Performance mode at 60fps or Quality mode at 30fps, with an SSD being mandatory.
The Silent Hill Transmission on March 13 provided fans with a glimpse of the game’s features. Silent Hill f is available for wishlist on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with no confirmed release date yet. Check out our related article for the latest updates on Silent Hill f!
