Don't Nod, the studio behind the acclaimed Life is Strange series, has launched the first chapter of their new narrative adventure. Dive into Tape 1 now, with Tape 2 releasing free to all owners on April 15th.
Unveiled in 2023, the game follows a close group of friends irrevocably fractured during the summer of 1995. Twenty-seven years later, the specters of that summer resurface, unleashing unforeseen and chilling consequences.
Inspired by classics like It, Yellowjackets, and I Know What You Did Last Summer, the game masterfully blends nostalgic charm with the thrills of a psychological thriller. The narrative is divided into two parts: Bloom and Rage. Currently, only Bloom, the first half of this haunting story, is available (February 18th).
"The Tape," the second part, arrives April 15th. Initially scheduled for March, the release was delayed to ensure a refined experience.
The review embargo has lifted, with OpenCritic reporting an average score of 74/100—a promising start for this gripping mystery.
