Simple Hex: A Two-Player Connection Game

Simple Hex is a captivating two-player connection game with straightforward rules, making it easy to learn but challenging to master. Players choose red or blue and take turns coloring empty cells on the game board. The objective is to create a connected path of your colored cells linking opposite sides of the board. The first player to complete this connection wins.

Game Modes:

The game offers three modes:

• Play with AI: Challenge yourself against an AI opponent with three difficulty levels (easy, medium, hard). The AI can play as either the first or second player.
• Play with Friends: Enjoy head-to-head competition with a friend using separate devices.
• Pass & Play: Play locally with a friend on the same device.

Game Features:

• Undo Button: Regret your last move(s)? The undo button lets you rewind (currently unavailable in AI mode).
• Steal Move: To balance the inherent advantage of the first player, the second player can choose to switch positions after the first player's initial move. This forces strategic first moves to avoid guaranteed losses (unavailable in AI mode).
• Multiple Board Sizes: Progress through 7x7, 9x9, and 11x11 boards, increasing the game's complexity and length.

AI Enhancements:

Version 0.45 Update (Dec 18, 2024):

This update makes the easy level genuinely easy and slightly reduces the difficulty of the medium level.
