Marvel Studios has unveiled the debut trailer for "Ironheart," the much-anticipated Disney+ series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Dominique Thorne returns as the titular character, Riri Williams, who first captured audiences' hearts in 2022's "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever." Accompanying her is Anthony Ramos, who portrays Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. The trailer, showcased below, offers a tantalizing glimpse into the series, which chronicles Riri's journey to becoming a standalone superhero after her initial supporting role in the MCU.
Parker Robbins / The Hood starts off seemingly supportive, aiming to help Riri realize her potential. However, the trailer suggests there's more to his character than initially meets the eye, adding layers of intrigue to their dynamic.
Directed by executive producer Ryan Coogler, "Ironheart" is set to premiere with a three-episode launch on June 24 at 6pm PT/9pm ET, exclusively on Disney+. Riri humorously refers to her adventures in "Wakanda Forever" as an "internship abroad." Her story takes a dramatic turn when she's expelled from MIT, prompting a pivotal question from The Hood: "Anyone who has accomplished anything has to do questionable things. Are you in or out?"
The trailer showcases thrilling action sequences, including Riri suiting up as Ironheart, flying through the air, and executing an impressive move where she grounds herself to punch a truck, sending it soaring over her head in a dramatic display of her newfound powers.
