Fortnite's Getaway: Mastering the Limited Time Mode

Fortnite

*Fortnite* enthusiasts, get ready for an adrenaline-pumping experience with The Getaway, a thrilling Limited Time Mode that originally debuted in Chapter 1 Season 5 and has made a comeback in Chapter 6 Season 2. Here's everything you need to know about playing The Getaway, including its duration.

Playing The Getaway in Fortnite

Starting The Getaway in *Fortnite* is straightforward. Launch the game on your preferred platform, navigate to the Lobby, and select Discover. Scroll through the options until you spot The Getaway, then hit the Play button to join the queue. If it doesn't appear right away, use the search bar located in the top left corner of the Lobby. Type "The Getaway" and it should appear instantly.

What Is The Getaway?

The Getaway is a heist-themed game mode where your objective is to snatch a jewel from the map and make a daring escape using a Getaway Van. It's a PvP mode, pitting you against multiple teams all vying for the same jewels. The first three teams to secure a jewel and escape in a van emerge victorious, but you can also win by eliminating competing teams. What's exciting this time around is that The Getaway is also accessible in Zero Build mode, catering to players who prefer to skip *Fortnite*'s building mechanics. You can enjoy this mode in Duos, Squads, Unranked, and Ranked formats.

The Getaway Start and End Dates

The Getaway is currently live in *Fortnite*, but mark your calendars because it will conclude on April 1st at 12 a.m. Eastern Time. I highly recommend diving into this mode while it's available, as you'll also earn XP that contributes to your Battle Pass progression.

That's all you need to know about playing The Getaway in *Fortnite*. For more tips and updates on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist.
