Microsoft Unveils Xbox Game Pass April 2025 Wave 1 Titles

Microsoft has unveiled an exciting lineup of Xbox Game Pass titles set to join the service in the first half of April 2025, featuring a mix of first- and third-party games that promise to keep subscribers engaged. The list includes highly anticipated titles such as South of Midnight, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition, among others.

According to a recent Xbox Wire post, the month kicks off strong on April 3 with the addition of Gearbox Software's Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, available across Cloud, Console, and PC for all tiers. Joining it on the same day are All You Need Is Help (Console), Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series X | S), and Wargroove 2 (Console), all accessible through Game Pass Standard. This initial wave offers a diverse range of gaming experiences to keep even the most dedicated Xbox fans entertained throughout the month. However, the excitement doesn't stop there, as South of Midnight (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (Console and PC) will be available for all Game Pass subscribers starting April 8.

South of Midnight, developed by Compulsion Games, is set in the Deep South and promises to be one of Xbox's major releases of the year. Microsoft's official description highlights the game's unique setting and gameplay: "Explore the mythos and confront mysterious creatures of the Deep South in this modern folktale while learning to weave an ancient power to surmount obstacles and face the pain haunting your hometown."

Following closely, Commandos: Origins (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) will be added to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on April 9, with Blue Prince (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) joining the same tiers on April 10. Rounding out the first wave of releases, Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PC) will be available for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers starting April 15.

In addition to the new games, Xbox Game Pass perks are also being refreshed for the first half of April 2025. Notable perks include the Beyond the Void Bundle for The First Descendant, the Sweet Starter Pack for Candy Crush Solitaire on mobile devices, and an anniversary Seventh Serving Emote for Sea of Thieves fans.
