Amazon has just dropped the price of the 10th generation Apple iPad to an enticing $259.99, available in Blue or Silver. This price is remarkably close to the all-time low of $249 seen during a brief Black Friday sale last year. The reason behind this price reduction is likely the recent announcement of the 11th generation iPad, which is now available for preorder on Amazon with a March shipping date.

We've selected this model as the best overall iPad for 2025. For most users, the standard iPad strikes the perfect balance, offering the full benefits of the iOS operating system and robust performance at a budget-friendly price. The 10th generation iPad boasts a 10.9-inch display, an A14 Bionic chip, 64GB of storage, WiFi-6 connectivity, a universal USB Type-C charging port, and compatibility with the Magic Folio keyboard, transforming it into a versatile mini laptop for enhanced productivity. While a newer model is on the way, the modest upgrades may not justify the extra cost for many.

If you're considering an upgrade, the 2025 11th generation iPad is now up for preorder. For an additional $70-$90, you get a more powerful A16 Bionic chip, a slightly larger 11-inch display, and 128GB of storage. Note that Apple Intelligence won't be available on this model. The upgrades are incremental, but if longevity is your goal, it might be a worthwhile investment.
