This week, Hisense unveiled its latest marvel, the 2025 Hisense QD7 4K Smart TV, and the 85" model is already hitting the market with a bang. Priced initially at $1,299.99, Amazon is offering this giant at a steal for just $999.99. This is a fantastic opportunity to snag a large screen TV with advanced quantum dot mini-LED technology and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, ideal for enhancing your gaming experience on your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X. If you're watching your wallet closely, the previous 2024 model of the 85" Hisense QD7, which omits the Mini-LED feature but retains the 144Hz refresh rate, is now available at a record low of $799.99, a price point we last saw during Black Friday.

It features a native 144Hz panel capable of running games in 4K at up to 144fps via HDMI 2.1. Additional gaming perks include a variable refresh rate ranging from 48Hz to 144Hz, auto low latency mode with MEMC, and AMD FreeSync Premium support. Beyond gaming, the QD7 excels in displaying movies and shows in 4K HDR, supporting formats like Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG. Both models leverage quantum dot technology to deliver vibrant, punchy colors.
The 2025 model of the Hisense QD7 introduces Mini-LED technology, a significant upgrade from the standard LED-backlit panels of the 2024 model. Mini-LEDs are smaller and more densely packed, allowing for more precise control over brightness and contrast, resulting in superior black levels and overall picture quality. Additionally, the 2025 model has transitioned to the Fire TV interface from Google TV, offering a different user experience based on personal preference.
Currently, you won't find another 85" TV at this price with such a comprehensive feature set, particularly the Mini-LED technology and the 144Hz refresh rate.
