321Fit is a fresh fitness application developed by Matthew Burton, known for Bearplane.
It features retro-styled workout visuals alongside essential fitness tools.
Customize your routine or choose from a curated list of pre-generated exercises.
As 2026 approaches, many are considering their New Year resolutions. Whether it's quitting smoking or drinking, picking up a new language, or the classic goal of getting fit, Matthew Burton’s 321Fit could be exactly what you need to get started.
Now available on iOS and Android, 321Fit brings a nostalgic twist to fitness tracking. By stripping things down to the essentials, it lets users create personalized workout plans or select from preset options. The app uses retro stick-figure graphics to help monitor your progress and timing.
Beyond its unique aesthetic, 321Fit delivers all standard features expected of a modern fitness app. This includes custom planning tools, input fields for personal stats and goals, and an alternative to heavier, battery-draining apps that prioritize flashy visuals over performance.

While the developers describe it as Pip-Boy inspired, I find that comparison a bit of a stretch. However, we may have reached an era where Atari-style designs no longer resonate with everyone. Regardless, coming from Matthew Burton, the creator behind Bearplane, 321Fit stands out as an unusual yet appealing new release.
Given my New Year goal to improve physical health—since sitting at a desk all day isn't kind to your body—I might give this app a try myself. I’m certainly willing to overlook any attempts to link it with the recent Fallout season two hype.
