Here's your chance to snag a top-notch OLED TV at one of the lowest prices we've seen, especially for a 2024 Samsung model. Currently, both Samsung Shop and Amazon are offering the 65" Samsung S85D 4K OLED Smart TV for just $999.99, complete with free delivery. This TV is perfect for pairing with your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, thanks to its HDMI 2.1 inputs and support for 4K gaming at up to 120Hz.
65" Samsung S85D 4K OLED Smart TV for $997.99
The Samsung S85D is the most budget-friendly option in Samsung's 2024 OLED lineup. Unlike the pricier S90D, which features a quantum dot OLED panel and costs $500 more, the S85D uses a standard W-OLED panel. When it comes to image quality, it's on par with the LG B4 OLED TV, which is $200 more expensive. As a true OLED panel, the S85D offers near-instantaneous response times, an almost infinite contrast ratio, and true blacks, making it superior to other panel types for most uses. If you're worried about burn-in, rest assured it's rarely a problem with OLED TVs; it's more of a concern with computer monitors due to static screens.
The Samsung S85D comes equipped with all the essential features you'd expect in a modern gaming TV, including HDMI 2.1 ports and a native 120Hz panel that supports 4K at 120Hz on a PS5 or Xbox Series X. It also supports variable refresh rate and auto low latency mode, making it an ideal match for the PlayStation 5 Pro, which can run most games at true 4K resolution at 120Hz, rather than upscaled 1440p in "Performance" mode.
At this price, you're getting the lowest deal available for a brand new, fully warrantied 65" OLED TV, especially from a reputable brand like Samsung. If you're curious about how this TV compares to the upcoming 2025 OLED models, the improvements seem to be incremental, such as slightly faster processors or better anti-glare coatings. The panel technology remains largely the same as in 2024 models.
