What sets the Pro 3 apart are its magnetic interchangeable components, allowing users to physically modify the controller. Gamers can store up to three custom profiles, enabling quick switching between different control schemes tailored for specific games or platforms.
Moving beyond previous models, the Pro 3 incorporates groundbreaking TMR (Tunnel Magneto-Resistance) joysticks for enhanced sensitivity and pinpoint accuracy. The controller also boasts hall-effect triggers and finely-tuned tactile feedback mechanisms in the bumpers and D-pad, delivering satisfying responsiveness without excessive stiffness.
The integrated charging dock provides a convenient power solution - simply place the controller on the dock to charge, and it automatically reconnects when removed. For software customization, the controller utilizes the 8BitDo Ultimate Software V2 platform.
Through the companion software, users can personalize nearly every aspect of the controller, including button mapping, joystick/trigger sensitivity adjustments, vibration intensity settings, and even macro programming for complex inputs.
Game Outlet Europe has confirmed the 8BitDo Pro 3 Bluetooth Gamepad will begin European distribution on August 13, 2025. Available in three stylish color options (Purple, Grey, and G Classic), the controller carries a suggested retail price of €69.99/£59.99 depending on market region.
