Dell currently offers one of the most competitive prices for a prebuilt desktop computer equipped with the RTX 5080. You can purchase an Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 gaming PC starting at just $2,399.99 with free shipping. This price is quite reasonable for a well-engineered, warrantied system capable of smooth 4K gaming at high frame rates. However, an even more compelling deal recently emerged. For an additional $100, you can upgrade this configuration with an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and double the system memory.
In today's market, purchasing a prebuilt gaming PC is the only practical way to obtain an RTX 5080 GPU without paying a substantial premium. If you tried to source a 5080 GPU for a custom build, the graphics card alone could cost nearly as much as a complete system. While most prebuilt options are also marked up, this particular model stands as a notable exception.

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC is configured with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F processor, a GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz memory, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The current-generation Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU reaches a maximum turbo frequency of 5.3GHz and features 20 cores with a 30MB cache. It is kept cool by a powerful 240mm all-in-one liquid cooling solution, and the entire system is driven by a capable 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.

Dell has just discounted an upgraded Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 gaming PC, offering superior value despite the $100 higher cost. This configuration includes an Intel Core Ultra 9 285 CPU and 32GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM. The Core Ultra 9 285 processor not only offers a turbo frequency that is 300MHz faster but also features four additional cores compared to the Intel Core Ultra 7 265F.
The RTX 5080 is the second most powerful Blackwell architecture graphics card available, just behind the $2,000 RTX 5090. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition review, Jackie notes: "If you already own a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not feel like a necessary upgrade—it doesn't hold a massive performance advantage over the RTX 4080, although the extra frames from DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation do enhance visuals in supporting games. For gamers with older GPUs seeking a significant performance uplift, however, the RTX 5080 delivers—especially if you're keen on leveraging Nvidia's AI features."
