Starting today, Dell is offering an incredible deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, now equipped with the powerful new GeForce RTX 5080 GPU for just $2,399.99 shipped. This price point is one of the best available for an RTX 5080-equipped prebuilt system, especially considering the steady price increases from other brands since the RTX 50 series launch in January. At Dell, the only other prebuilt option with an RTX 5080 GPU is priced over $4,000. If you're considering building your own PC, finding a standalone RTX 5080 GPU will be challenging, and it might cost as much as this entire prebuilt system.
Update: Tariffs have impacted Dell as well, and with the stock situation of the Blackwell cards remaining tight, prices on Alienware gaming desktops with RTX 50 series GPUs are expected to rise in the near future.
$2,399.99 at Alienware
This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC comes packed with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The current-generation Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU offers a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz with 20 cores and a 30MB cache. It's cooled efficiently by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the system is powered by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.
The RTX 5080 is one of three new Blackwell graphics cards, which are currently in high demand and hard to find. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes that "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be the best upgrade – it doesn't offer a significant performance lead over the RTX 4080, though DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation does enhance gameplay in supported titles. However, if you're using an older graphics card and seeking a substantial performance boost, the RTX 5080 is an excellent choice, especially if you're keen on leveraging Nvidia’s AI enhancements."
The initial wave of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards sold out within the first hour of preorders. The highest-end models, the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, were released first, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Similarly, prebuilt gaming PCs equipped with these new GPUs are either sold out, have increased in price, or are facing extended delivery delays.
